Sandalwood ~
Is a class of woods from trees in the genus Santalum. The woods are heavy, yellow, and fine-grained, and, unlike many other aromatic woods, they retain their fragrance for decades. Sandalwood is an anti-inflammatory, Acts as an Astringent, Used as an Antiseptic, aids in removing acne and blackheads, Softens skin, removes sun spots and dark spots*
Sandalwood essential oil is especially high in antioxidants, which help to fight the free radicals that cause age-related skin damage. It’s also used to reduce the appearance of dark circles and other dark spots appearing on the skin. As an antiseptic and astringent, it also helps to clean the pores and reduce inflammation from mild skin irritations. What’s more, studies have shown that sandalwood helps with skin conditions like acne, eczema, and psoriasis. In fact, many skincare products contain sandalwood oil as a key, age-fighting ingredient!

Turmeric Oil ~
Turmeric oil contains curcumin which has strong anti-inflammatory properties. According to some Ayurvedic practitioners, it’s a great essential oil to use for evening out the complexion and preventing acne and blemishes. It is believed that turmeric oil can moderate excess melanin production, thus helping to ease hyper-pigmentation.

Frankincense Oil ~
Frankincense oil is one of the best essential oils out there for fading scars and healing the skin. This oil is a potent natural agent for healthy skin stimulation, and it’s known to encourage turnover and strengthen elasticity. These cellular regeneration properties act a bit like retinol, but without the sun-sensitivity, drying and thinning that most retinols cause.
Native to the Middle East and India, frankincense is now one of the most common essential oils worldwide. Researchers in a 2003 study found that frankincense oil may help reduce or prevent the appearance of sunspots. This can improve skin tone while also reducing the appearance of wrinkles. Frankincense also helps generate new skin cells.

Neroli Oil ~
Neroli oil is an essential oil produced from the blossom of the bitter orange tree (Citrus aurantium subsp. amara or Bigaradia). It's scent is sweet, honeyed and somewhat metallic with green and spicy facets. Neroli a fantastic ingredient to rub on stretch marks, age spots and scars. Along with its regenerative qualities, neroli oil is also antiseptic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving. This makes it useful to treat pimples and acne and reduce the redness associated with breakouts
Neroli is great in aiding in the absorption of Vitamin C. Vitamin C is regarded for its healing and scar fading properties, and even though most citrus-derived essential oils don’t contain Vitamin C — they help us absorb the vitamin more efficiently. If you’re looking to up the anti on your current Vitamin C treatment, try boosting it by adding a neroli or juniper berry oil.

Geranium Oil ~
Geranium oil is a natural astringent, so it helps calm redness and is soothing and toning in nature. It can really help boost the hydration retention of your skin. This can help improve the natural appearance of any scarring or pigmentation.

Clary Sage Oil ~
If you already have oily skin, then you’ll need to be careful with what essential oils you use. Clary sage oil is a great oil for those with oily skin because it works with the sub-dermal layer of the skin to regulate sebum production naturally. This oil is elegant and moderate, and a great preventative treatment to add to your skin routine.

Chamomile Oil ~
If you were ever one of those chicken-pox kids that got a chamomile bath, then you won’t be surprised that this essential oil is a soother. Chamomile oil naturally contains the ingredient Azulene which is highly reparative. Azulene is calming and cell-renewing so it helps your skin fight damage. It’s also an anti-inflammatory and an antioxidant, which makes your skin more resilient to stress. What does that resilience mean to you? Being blemish and scar free.

Rosemary Oil ~
Rosemary essential oil is great for fading dark spots. It helps to enhance circulation and also works as a disinfectant, preventing bacterial growth. This additional disinfectant property helps beat back the bacteria that create scarring blemishes. Even better is that rosemary essential oil contains phytonutrients that are believed to help fight free radical related damage and hyper-pigmentation.

Tea Tree Oil ~
Tea tree oil is a popular choice for treating acne because of its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. It's thought to calm redness, swelling, and inflammation. It may even help to prevent and reduce acne scars, leaving you with smooth, clear skin

Lavender Oil ~
As if lavender needed any more great properties, it also helps fight irritation and fight inflammation. Lavender oil, when applied to the raised part of a blemish, can help your skin repair faster and if applied early enough it can lead to less scarring. It contains linalyl acetate, which is known to be a wound healer. Mixed with pomegranate oil, the two make a lovely smell that penetrate the skin quickly and deliver potent nutrients that feel and absorb like a serum.

I used Fresh Organic Lavender infused Grapeseed Oil as my carrier oil*. Freshly cut and dried from my garden*

Grapeseed Oil ~
~ Grapeseed oil contains linoleic acid which is great for helping to strengthen cell membranes and improving skin health. Grapeseed oil contains this fatty acid, so it can be a good solution to improve or cure various skin conditions
Grapeseed oil is excellent for treating oily or acne-prone skin. It’s high in linoleic acid, also known as omega-6 fatty acid, which in addition to fortifying the skin’s barrier and helping to reduce water loss from the skin, may help with acne. Grapeseed Oil is very gentle to your skin.
Contains powerful antioxidants, minerals, vitamins, and fatty acids that work together to combat skin issues. Safe to use on all skin types since it's non-comedogenic, and has a mild scent. It can also help alleviate redness for those with sensitive skin.

Exfoliation can do wonders for your skin!
Exfoliation is the process used to remove dead skin cells from the skin’s surface. There are a number of benefits to exfoliating your skin including:

• Detoxifying the skin
• Getting rid of dead, dull skin cells
• Improving skin tone
• Killing bacteria and helping prevents breakouts/rashes
• Improving topical product penetration and treatment results

Organic Sugar ~
Sugar makes an amazing abrasive ingredient in scrubs. It's a natural humectant, so it retains moisture and ensures skin is kept hydrated, making it ideal for delicate and sensitive skin, especially because it melts away upon contact with water. Sugar is also known to be a pure, natural source of Glycolic Acid, also known as an AHA, which helps to break down dead, flaky skin and help support cell turnover. Sugar scrubs are extremely effective at treating mature skin while still being gentle and non-irritating on sensitive skin. Combined with nourishing oils, sugar scrubs can be used before or during bathing for a thorough exfoliating treatment that leaves skin smooth, soft and supple.

Dead Sea Salt ~
The Dead Sea is located at the lowest point on earth, which is thought to be the result of volcanic processes leading to a continuous dropping of land. It is one of the four saltiest bodies of water in the world. These special conditions are an outcome of its extreme geomorphological structure alongside a harsh desert climate. These create constant dramatic changes that form a landscape that is different from any other in the world. Also, the unique mineral content of the air, land, and water in the area is globally renowned for its therapeutic qualities, as is evident in that it has been a health resort for thousands of years.
Arthritis and asthma have been known to benefit from the air and water of the Dead Sea. The oxygen rate is 5% higher than the surrounding area, which also enhances rejuvenation and recovery.

Coconut Oil ~
