Cedarwood
~The evergreen cedar tree is a symbol of endurance, eternal life and immortality. One wouldn't be surprised to find out that ancient civilizations, particularly Egyptians, used cedar resin to mummify their dead.
Cinnamon
~ Cinnamon has a long medicinal and religious history, dating back to ancient times. In Egypt, the spice was used in the mummification process to preserve the body. In China, cinnamon was used for healing. Medieval physicians used cinnamon in medicines to treat coughing, hoarseness, and sore throats. Cinnamon was also valued for its anti-bacterial properties.
The spice is found in the inner bark of the cinnamon tree. Cinnamonum verum is considered the purest of the cinnamon species, while other species are more accurately referred to as "cassia." Their flavors are subtly different, but there is no magical difference between the two.
Both Cinnamonum verum and cassia species are associated with fire and the sun.
Cinnamon a native of Ceylon, cinnamon is a member of the laurel family. The tree grows about 30 feet high with clusters of yellow and white flowers. Itβs very fragrant bark yields a golden yellow oil, which was used as an ingredient of the anointing oil
Seeing that, cinnamon originated in Ceylon in the fourteenth century A.D., that mentioned in the Old Testament (cinnamon) is native to China and was transplanted to Palestine and surrounding countries 1650 B.C. Its bark contained a very aromatic oil used as a perfume
Cinnamon is one of the most delicious and healthiest spices on the planet. It can lower blood sugar levels, reduce heart disease risk factors and has a plethora of other impressive health benefits
Cinnamon oil has a variety of health and beauty benefits. It can be used as an antibacterial and antifungal agent. It can also be used in aromatherapy as a relaxant.
Cassia
~ Cassia derived from Hebrew "quddah", meaning "amber" or "quetsioth", meaning "bark like cinnamon". Greek work is "kasia" meaning trees that resemble acacias. Cassia was contained in the recipe for the Holy Anointing Oil given to Moses? The blend included Myrrh, Cassia, Cinnamon, Calamus and olive oil! Cassia's properties are Calming and relaxing.
Although Cassia oil is considered a hotter oil than Cinnamon, I find the energy vibration of the oil softer. I would consider cinnamon an oil that is more of a purgative on an energetic level, while Cassia takes a quieter more gentle approach.
Cassia essential oil helps to release the energy of worthless, unimportant and suppression that keeps us separate from our higher self and our divine source, which is why it was used in the Holy Anointing Oil given to Moses.
This oil helps us know that each of us are free and have an important part to play in our own and others spiritual journey. But we need to recognize this for ourselves. It is only our self that really suppressβ our connection to God and our spiritual freedoms.
The willow tree gives us hope, a sense of belonging, and safety. Furthermore, the ability to let go of the pain and suffering to grow new, strong and bold. The image of the willow tree is our path to stability, hope, and healing. Willow Bark is commonly used for Pain Relief
Mantra: βMother Earth, I pay homage to the fullness of your beauty and divine perfection. You are abundant with Life, always rebirthing from season to season. I respect your land, waters, air, and all inhabitants. May all align with your perfect regenerative power.β
